Still curious as well, I've got my roommates pestering me every day asking when I'm going to have the kegbot up and running. Tried to setup on a fresh Ubuntu install and can't get it working. PIP fails and the latest sources from Github don't compile correctly. After throwing $500+ at it, it's frustrating to not be able to utilize any of it for the past few months.

At least it still serves beer I guess.....

Can you post your errors, in a new thread preferably, and I'd be glad to assist you in getting things running.

Sure can. I had planned on it anyway, but I wanted to take some time to read through some of the other posts with issues and see if any of the fixes/suggestions would work for me. Unfortunately, I've been fairly busy as of late, so I haven't had the time to read through them all.

I'm at work right now, but later tonight I'll try a fresh install from source and pastbin (in new thread) my output. Thanks!

Hi guys.

Sorry for the delay. If you've seen the new kegweb frontend, well, you know what's occupied the last month or so of kegbot dev time.. The app hasn't changed much since that Dec 14 mail; I still need a few solid days (ie another good weekend or two) to polish things off.

wifigood/jesse, remind me what sort of tab you have? If you have a xoom, please shoot me another email at opensource@hoho.com & I'll hook you up with the beta apk.

We discovered some problems with the Galaxy Tab's USB support. Long story short, it will probably be necessary to run cyanogen or a non-stock image on it. If you're interested in messing with that as well, let me know.

thanks,
mike

Crapola, I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1. :-(

I have yet to root it, as I've secretly been waiting for CM9 to come out for the Tab, but I can play around with other 3rd party firmwares if that's what's needed for the USB-host support. I'll start searching around to see which has the best support for such a thing and get back to you.

Also, I've had issues installing Kegweb anyway, so I'll be working with Goliath on getting that installed and all squared away.

Thanks again,
-Ian-

Are those issues with the Galaxy Tab using the official USB Host adapter?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. I know others have created their own adapters and gotten multiple devices (USB HDD and various thumbdrives) to simultaneously sync up and mount to the Tab with a stock image.

If it's more "trickery" than a coding issue, I may definitely be interested in a beta APK to at least play around with and see if I can't troubleshoot any of the issues. Here is a post that I've come across with people having USB-OTG support working:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1149442 (they talk about a custom cable the guy made, but now they're available for purchase, so I bought one for $4 to see if it'll work).

Does the app currently support multiple taps?
