Hi, I think the kegbot is a great idea. I was looking at making one from a basic stamp microprocessor kit. Obviously though your version is much more powerful. Just curious, do you have to have a dedicated computer to support the keg? Or could I use my mac g5 to do it? Also is there anywhere on the internet that has comprehensive schematics or instructions? Thanks.

Hi Thayer,

Actually, both are true
The software that controls access to the
keg is written in python, and the controller is now a USB device. I've
tested some of it on my Mac and it should work. There's a bug in the
USB driver that prevents it from running above 9600 baud on a Mac, but
otherwise you're good to go.
Also is there anywhere on the internet that has comprehensive schematics or instructions? Thanks.
I've been stalled on this for so long, but I finally got around to
updating the schematic this weekend. The software is all up in version
control but I've yet to post access instructions. stay tuned
