I found about this really quickly because they originally called it 'Kegbot', heh.
An iPad interface/core (and iPhone and Android clients) have been on my wishlist for a while; it is great to see someone experiment with the concept. (Though, I have to admit, I was hoping no one would think to do it until I could find the time to do so myself -- oh well, twitter glory will have to wait!)
What's been demonstrated is local to the ipad, missing many Kegbot features (eg reporting to the web). Extending the app to work with the Kegbot backend -- and writing/extending Kegbot APIs to accomodate it -- seem like natural next steps to me. We've chatted over e-mail and have tentative (but as yet uncertain) plans to meet up, since we're all in SF afaict.
In any case, I've been working on getting a kegbot data api written up and published so it is easier to push data into and out of the backend. This should make it a lot easier to build cool new interfaces. Stay tuned..
