Just FYI. I see no reason that, if the code could be hardened up a bit, a kegbot kit could not be sold (put linux on a plug computer, or make a liveCD to reduce costs (people can choose a plug computer ($100-$150) or provide their own hardware (spare laptop) and then a kit of the right valves/solenoids/line splicers for a DIY install. If someone drops $1000 on a multitap keggerator, what's another couple hundred bucks to make it sing and dance

Someone has taken metered dispensing, RFID activation etc. to the commercial taproom! This thing is damn cool...

And the guys at Facebook have (or had..I heard HR made them take it offline) something called Keg Presence. Uses corporate ID to indicate who's at the keg, etc. Uses their Facebook Presence social networking code, and applies it to a barrel. they have not indicated any open sourcing will be doable, but I do know a few people there, would be interesting to take a peek at what/how they do..

Someday kegbot kits would be a great option, but as you can see it's definitely DIY for now.

That is really really nice. I like the recessed displays inlaid into the table tops. I bet they are using a similar flow meter to measure the beer pours on all the beer lines.

I remember seeing some posts about the facebook kegerator. I wasn't quite sure if they were measuring beer pours or not, it's interesting though. I bet they won't be open sourcing as much as kegbot does.
